Custom Date Period Selections in Power BI

Create table 'Date Periods' that has every date for each date period.

Create many to 1 relationship between 'Date Periods' and Calendar, set Cross Filter to Both.


Filter the date slicer visual with this measure:

Date Slicer Filter = IF(SELECTEDVALUE('Date Periods'[Type]) = "CUSTOM", 1, 0)

When 0 is returned, the date slicer is disabled.
